Uninhabited island life = paradise; white sandy beaches; exotic wildlife; postcard sunsets… and very poor cellphone reception.
The other day, I went for a hike on one of the many walking paths on South Molle Island. This one was up Mount Jeffery, where you can see 360 degree views at the top, allowing you to easily spot the other islands that make up the Whitsundays.
The hike wasn’t too bad, considering we walked through clouds of butterflies along the way. The sun was the worst part. And forgetting my water bottle.
But at the top, the views were pretty spectacular.
But a funny thing happened shortly after we arrived at the summit – we realized we had a good phone signal.
